under the regulations of the "Dual System", taking part in training courses either once or

or in so-called "Block"-courses, which normally run on four-week schemes several times during
a three-year vocational training.
Additionally, the College is attended by some 1000 full-time students choosing from a variety
of courses offered in various fields with different entry levels and leading up to a scope of
examinations, certificates and qualifications. Thus, alongside a basic professional education,
students may opt for all sorts of general academic subjects and achieve various qualifications
ranging from "Hauptschulabschluss" (German General Certificate of Secondary Education) to
"Abitur" (German Certificate of Higher Secondary Education, Advanced Level, leading to
University-entrance qualification / high-school graduation).
The College also offers a state-registered, fully qualified professional training with a
certificate in professions such as
- Social Assistants,
